The Conversation Project began when Ellen Goodman and a group of concerned media, clergy, and medical professionals gathered to share stories of “good deaths” and “hard deaths” within their own
circle of loved ones. They realized that the difference between the two experiences often hinged on whether or not they had the conversation.
It is because of the generosity of our funders and our partnerships with individuals, community organizations, faith communities, and health systems that we have been able to accelerate the spread of The Conversation Project.
By working together, we are getting closer to realizing Ellen Goodman’s audacious goal of shifting the cultural norm around end-of life care conversations. In the spirit of celebration and reflection, we have gathered the spread of the Conversation in a 5-Year Review.
Thank you for advancing the cultural spread of The Conversation.
